How much catamaran charter in Croatia cost?
Rental price will depend on size of the catamaran, year that it is built, equipment on board, number of crew etc. Usual catamaran prices starts from 2.500 € for preseason charter of 38 foot catamaran to  20.000+ € for luxury fully crewed 60 footer. Also, the catamaran charter Croatia price will depend on time of the season. Generally, July and August will be a bit more expensive than June and September, but the best deals will definitely be in April, May and October. Most catamaran guests charter for one week, but also for two weeks. It is recommended to book a catamaran early, so the early booking discounts can be applied, or check one of our great last minute charter deals.

What is included in catamaran charter price, and what is to be payed extra?
In our offer all that is included and extra costs will be stated. What is included in charter price: vessel, VAT, VHF, navigational and safety equipment, kitchen utensils, dingy, kitchen. Fuel, mooring fees, tourist tax, final cleaning (transit log), outboard engine for dinghy and crew are not included in price, if not otherwise stated.

Do we need to hire a skipper?
It is not necessary to take a skipper if you have required license, unless the catamaran is chartered exclusively with full time crew. Saying that, we still recommend to hire a skipper if you don’t feel you can manage the boat safely, especially if you sailed solely on monohulls before.

Do I require to have sailing certificate when charter a catamaran?
If you intend to charter bareboat and want to know which licenses are accepted in Croatia, consult list of accepted licenses issued by Croatian Ministry of Sea. Croatian Maritime Law requires for captain of the yacht to be in possession of the license, and our requirement is to have sufficient navigational experience in order to handle the catamaran properly.  The VHF license is required as well. European licenses are generally accepted in Croatia.

What do I need to pack when charter catamaran in Croatia?
Chartering a catamaran for most people is a novelty, so it is important to prepare for staying on board. In order to embark on catamaran, you will need your passport, or identity card for European Union citizens. You’ll be accommodated on a boat so you don’t have much room for your luggage, so when packing, it is best to use soft bags, rather than hard suitcases.

Also, you will need  light summer clothing, sun hats, sun glasses, trainers, shoes with a good grip on catamaran surface, swimming suits and some „smart casual“ clothes for events and dinners. For sailing in May or September, it can get chilly sometimes at the night, around 15 °C; so you should pack some warm clothes.

Cash is the best to bring, as credit cards are OK for some things, but lot’s of restaurants on the islands wont take them.

Can we order provisions on board?
Yes, it is possible to order food and beverages on board of catamaran, so you don’t have to think about that. We work with the best yacht supply companies in Croatia.

Are there markets on the Croatian islands?
Bigger islands and ports like Hvar, Brač, Vis, Korčula, Krk island, Cres and Ugljan have supermarkets where you can restock, ATM-s, post office etc. Due to higher prices and less convenient stocking on islands, it is still recommended to supply your catamaran before departure on the first day of charter.

What is the best time for sailing Croatia?
Perhaps the best sailing season is May, June and September. Winds are moderate and most reliable. End of June, July, August and first part of September are great for summer summer activities like swimming. Average temperatures during the catamaran charter season range between about 22 – 29°C. The sea temperature at that time is around 23 °C.

What are the costs of marinas and mooring buoys?
Mooring price depends of the various elements like boat type, size and time of the season. Fees for catamarans  usually cost two times more than regular sailing yacht.  For example, 42 foot catamaran will cost 60 – 70 € per night. Marinas in Croatia provides electricity, water, showers, garbage disposal, small shops, restaurants, loundry and peace of mind 🙂

Marinas are mainly located on the most popular destinations like ACI marina Palmižana, ACI marina Korčula, and others. Many towns like Vis or Starigrad have mooring lines in harbors, and basically provide the same services as marinas. When sailing in Croatia you will be advised where to go, during the check in.

Is parking available in marinas?
Parking is available in all base marinas for a price of 10-15€ per day. Finding parking space in high season can sometimes be a problem as everything is overbooked. In this case we can recommend private guarded parking outside marina for the same price.
